A new campus. A new opportunity. 

 

The Handley Educational Foundation hopes to build better play at the new Handley Campus through research, design and advocacy.  Children deserve the chance to design their own play and be active while doing it. Handley Hills will provide that innovative, adventure play experience. The Handley Educational Foundation is seeking funds to realize this dream.

Be Playful

Handley Hills will serve as a community amenity that aims to elevate play in the City of Saginaw with a research-backed "adventure play" design concept. The rolling hills allow for endless running opportunities, the climbing experiences are in plenty, and the slides put play on repeat.

Be Inclusive

Handley Hills will be a fully inclusive and accessible experience. All children, including those with physical disabilities and neurodivergence, will be able to participate in full.

Have Fun

Handley Hills will provide three professionally designed play spaces to match Handley's award winning academics.

The Handley Hills project is a thoughtful and spirited way to deliver on our region’s needs. The design propels us forward on inclusivity. It challenges our city’s youth to be creative and active. It gives a nod to the lumbering era of our past and forges us ahead with a state of the art play experience.

Our Role

The affiliation of the Handley Educational Foundation to Handley School provides unique support for this public school. This research backed design concept initiated within the Handley Educational Foundation. The fees for the Handley Hills design were paid for by the Handley Educational Foundation and we will support Handley Hills to fruition.
